Shelley joined the Afterschool Partnership in May 2006 as Program Assistant and Communication Specialist. In her current role, Shelley serves as the Chief Operation Officer. Shelley is responsible for all internal operations functions and all external communications with Partnership stakeholders and the general public.
Prior to working with the Afterschool Partnership, Shelley completed the University of New Orleans’ Teach Greater New Orleans training program, briefly serving on the Special Education staff of Nelson UNO Charter School. Formerly, she served as the Assistant Director of Residential Life at Louisiana State University and Director of Risley Residential College for Creative and Performing Arts at Cornell University. A graduate of Texas Tech University, Shelley also holds a M.Ed. from Loyola University Chicago where she worked in Residential Life while completing her degree.
